First of all, let us be clear that every individual within a team or organization has the opportunity - and the responsibility - to be a leader, no matter what their job title reads. Team members affect each other with every task completed or left undone, every attitude expressed, every communication, whether constructive or negative. When we work with organizations, we work towards making this assumption clear in the environment, and making sure that everyone feels valued and called upon to model leadership. When we work with individuals, in Coaching and Leadership Development, we seek to galvanize our client's commitment to the difference they would like to make, and to maintain the attitude of a leader in that commitment.
On one hand, our process for Coaching and Leadership Development could not be simpler. We simply help our clients clarify what they are committed to, and then we join in that commitment with them, building on their own strengths and giving whatever support, feedback, listening, training or additional resources they need to succeed. On the other hand, it is an expertise that has taken us decades to sharpen.
